Worked on the legs and sculped rough feet, The arms are also roughly shaped!
The BJD can stand by itself with no problem, joy!
UPDATE 27-08-09
Reworked the torso and jointed the legs! The little buddy's taking shape!
Whoot!
This is a work in progress, obviously
Yes my dear buddies. It's that time of the year again.
ANOTHER BJD ATTEMPT! OH DEAR GOD NO! NOT ANOTHER ONE! NOOOOOOOOO.
Yes.
This is entirely one of my friend's fault! She gifted me with a pack of paperclay and let me tell you: IT'S AWESOME! It works SO much better than sculpey for me. NUMNUM.
This new specimen is roughly 15 cm tall (that's about 6 inches tall for you americans out there) and was sculpted, as mentionned above, exclusively out of Pearl paperclay.
The arms and legs are also sculpted, but nowhere near their final shape and aren't jointed yet, so you'll see them later.
Oh dear! Don't stop! if you're already used to polymer clay then by all means keep working with it!
To me, polymer was a constant fight, it hates me, I hate it! That's the only reason I was thrilled to try paperclay with promising results.
What brand of polymer are you using? Some polymers are too weak for the pieces to be strung. Super sculper is fine and i've heard good things about fimo too.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
