Ahaha, got tagged (OMG-ness!) by !

Oh god... 20 things about me.. this is going to take FOREVER to write...

1) I LOVE talking in front of many people, (yeah, yeah, weird, i know!)

2) Sotha (The main character from my story!) was also my imaginary friend that no one knew I had.

3) I was ultra quiet and shy as a child and used to cry a lot for small things.

4) I tried to learn how to paint when I was 9, but the teacher said I was talentless and that I wouldn't
do anything artistic in my entire life, so I gave up and stopped drawing for 5 years (and told my parents that I didn't like painting, LOL!)

5) I NEVER, EVER seriously wanted to be a popular artist (Yeah, i know, i'm not popular either, but I wouldn't like to be anyway, why? Well... I wouldn't want to get 'faved' or watched' simply because I have a lot of pageviews.)

6) I Hate anthro (furry)... Seriously... Sorry... But i can't stand half of it.

7) I don't mind manga and anime, and I can enjoy it, but I hate it when people use it as an excuse to draw without considering at least some rules of the human body anatomy.

8) I think Salvador Dali is just------- teh AWESOME-ness !

9) *Has nothing else to say..* hehhhh... I love to sing, but my voice's horrible.

10) The thing that scares me the most is to wake up one morning and be unable to draw.

11) I used to hate school, but now that i'm in college, I can't get enough of it.

12) I was born at 5:30 pm, in time for supper.

13) I'm actually extremely depressed when I wake up.

14) .... But i'm back to my bouncy happy self two minutes later.

15) I think respect is a two-ways thing. I will respect you as long as you respect me, even if i don't
like you much.

16) I think it's sad that some people think the right to say that someone's drawing or art is ugly.
Beauty is relative, besides, this is NOT contructive criticism.

17) I usually don't do those kinds of littles tests, but hey, it sounded fun!

18) My dreams look like movies, complete with the cheezy clichés.

19) I LOVE kids, they make me happy.

20) I love french, and you know what? I'm not even ashamed ot it!

On with the rambling.

I just don't know how to say this, but lately i've been wondering "What is art anyway?". What makes something art and another thing just a piece of crap?

It's sad in a way, that some people think that art is something you can't do without a diploma, don't get me wrong, but I think that even with the best techniques EVER, a drawing can be just meaningless scribbles.

Have you ever looked at a drawing and thought "It looks empty"?

No, i'm not talking about the amount of white/blank space in the sheet of paper, i'm talking about the art itself, the eyes of the characters. You don't feel like they're 'alive', not like they're going to start chatting about their life and how they are.

OK that was a bit dramatically put.

What I mean is, sometimes I look at drawing made by a professionnal and wonder "What's so great about it? Right the coloring's beatiful, the proportions are great... So.. What's wrong with it?"

On the other hand, I can find a drawing made by an amateur and stay speechless over it for a long, loong time.

So, do drawings actually have a soul?

Ok, I sound crazy now, do I?

But let's look at this definition of soul:
" A strong, deeply felt emotion conveyed by a speaker, a performer, or an artist."

So... We're artists right? What if we actually put some of our soul... uh.. No, that's also pretty dramatic...

Ok, What if we were actually sharing our soul with our drawings? Sharing our emotions through our characters, our landscapes, wallpapers, skins (Hey, art is everywhere!).

Well, I think that's what makes art, art. This soul we put into it. Professionnal or amateur, I don't think it matters as long as we draw because we love to draw.

Now whether you want to proove me wrong, or proove me right, do it politely please , making fun of me would be totally pointless and, yes, really dumb. Thank you!

I'm cleaning up my journals, god i was so dumb 2 years ago... I'm also going to delete some of my drawings, or scrap them, I know, you don't care but I wanted to warn eveybody in case you were wondering XD *end of edit*
